IN MEMORY OF SANDRA BERTONI
It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of one of our dear members, Sandra Bertoni, on April 5th, 2021 after a battle with cancer. For the last few years, Sandra had been an active Board member with ATIA, serving as treasurer and being a great help and support to the Association and its members.
We would like to remember Sandra as always having a bright smile and being happy and optimistic, no matter what physical and mental hardships came her way. Indeed, for many on the Board, news of her death came as an absolute shock, as she was always so brave and kind, always ready and willing to help.
It is hard to believe that she is no longer with us, but we want to send her family, loved ones, friends, and anyone who knew her our heartfelt condolences, in the hope that in time, happy, loving memories will prevail over the grief, and she will always be remembered with a smile.
From her obituary, we would like to quote the following:
“She is lovingly remembered by her husband Martin, her son Sebastian, her mother Beba, her brothers, Daniel and Marcelo; and her countless nieces and nephews.
A Celebration of Life will occur Friday, May 28th, 2021. More details will be provided at a later date. Condolences, memories, and photos may be shared and viewed on Sandra’s obituary at www.McInnisandHolloway.com. If friends so desire, in lieu of flowers, memorial tributes may be made directly to the Alberta Children’s Hospital Foundation, 28 Oki Drive NW, Calgary AB T3B6A8, Telephone (403) 955.8818. www.childrenshospital.ab.ca
In living memory of Sandra Bertoni, a tree will be planted in the Ann & Sandy Cross Conservation Area by McINNIS & HOLLOWAY FUNERAL HOMES, Chapel of the Bells, 2720 CENTRE STREET NORTH, CALGARY, AB T2E2V6, Telephone: 403-243-8200.” (Source)
