ATIA IS HOSTING THE FOLLOWING CTTIC WEBINAR:

To review the main causes of the deficient status of our profession and, above all, the repositioning solutions available to us.

Presented by Donald Barabé – President of OTTIAQ

Donald – had a long career within the Canadian Government Translation Bureau, first as a translator, then as a reviser and finally as a manager of translation services, in particular for the Departments of Justice and Foreign Affairs. For the last ten years of his career, as Vice-President, Professional Services, in the Bureau, he was responsible for translation services provided to all federal departments and agencies. He also taught translation at Ottawa University School of Translation and Interpretation for about ten years. He has given numerous conferences on the translation profession. He also signed or co-signed a number of articles on the profession and its development. 

The presentation will take about 1.5 hours each series.
